About ITCCIRWelcome Message

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the "International Training Course on Carbon Ion Radiotherapy (ITCCIR 2024)", which will be collaboratively held by QST Hospital and Gunma University from November 11th to 16th, 2024.

As the number of particle therapy facilities continues to grow worldwide, the demand for professionals with expertise in this field has increased significantly, hence this course is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding and the latest advances in the biological, physical, and clinical aspects of carbon-ion radiotherapy (CIRT). While we focus primarily on CIRT, it is emphasized that that the course will be also of great benefit to any individuals interested in proton therapy, as there are many similarities in terms of irradiation techniques, treatment planning, and candidate selection policies, etc.

The ITCCIR has been held annually and this year will be the 12th. The first three days of the course will be held at QST Hospital in Chiba, while the second three days at Gunma University in Gunma, in Japan. These two locations will not only offer educational experiences through lectures and visits to treatment facilities, but also opportunities to experience Japanese culture. This is one of the attractions of this course.

We are confident that ITCCIR 2024 will be an enlightening and memorable experience. Please mark your calendars and prepare for an event that promises your professional growth.

We eagerly anticipate your participation.

Warm Regards,
